The weather is getting warmer, so you know what that means—time for pool parties and beach vacations. If it time to upgrade your swimwear game, check out these swimsuits.
Some swimsuits that are in style this season probably won’t be a surprise: metallics, florals, and teeny tiny bikinis. You’ll see fun details like belts, ruffles and strategic cut outs. And if you’re wondering where to find these fabulous suits, links are provided for you, so you won’t have to figure out where to find them.

Metallic Swimsuits
Let’s begin with what is probably an obvious, or at least common, choice for the summer—metallic swimwear! The choices this season are heavy in the usual silver, gold, and bronze, but you’ll also run across a cool blue or pink.
Here’s an edit of some of the best ones I’ve found out there, both bikinis and one-piece swimsuits.
Sexy One-piece Swimsuits
And speaking of one-piece swimsuits! I love the ones shown here.
There’s one that reminds me of that now-legendary J. Lo dress, and there’s even one with stunning embroidery.
The beauty from PatBo is probably more for those who like to be seen poolside as opposed to jumping in for a game of water hockey!
Belted Swimsuits
A cool detail that is showing up more and more is belting with swimwear. While it seems to appear a lot more on one-piece swimsuits, there are some bikinis here that will make you look hotter than a Bond Girl (Ursula circa 1962, or if you prefer, Halle Berry from 2002).
Animal Print Swimsuits
Yes! These animal print swimsuits are as chic as they are sexy. Get noticed by the pool or go on the hunt at the beach!
STYLE TIP: The best swimsuits for an inverted triangle body shape draw less attention to the top and more attention to the bottom. Avoid embellishments on the top, which will add weight and make you look top heavy. A string bikini bottom or high cut leg helps elongate your legs. Belted and wrap style one piece swimsuits are especially good for creating that hourglass silhouette! Try a bandeau style top if you are naturally top heavy or need a little more support—it minimizes a bit and they tend to have a shelf bra which will help hold you in place.
Teeny Tiny Bikinis
These are tiny suits that make a big statement. And with options like the Camilla reversible bikini, you have even more options. Ruffles give a flirty air to the swimsuit from Stella McCartney, and the Smiley faces from Moschino are really fun.
Hot Floral Swimsuits
Florals are always a good choice for when the weather warms up. Combined with ruffles, or a belt, or even in the form of embroidery, you’ll have an interesting take on this trend and a new summer staple.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this collection of cool summer swimwear. Get yours before someone beats you to it! Even as we speak, they’re selling fast. Remember your sunblock, your dry body oil, and a fabulous hat!
And look for my Pinterest board specific to this subject, which will include these swimsuits and even more that I find.
I know you’re tempted to keep this all to yourself, but be sure to share the love and pin to your heart’s content!
