Crochet Everything
Boho lovers rejoice! Your love of the earthy weave is being widely celebrated this spring.
You’ll find really stunning works, from handmade tops to dusters to coverups and more. They are truly pieces of art that you can wear.
There are pieces with beading, sequins and other adornments. The crochet pieces can be found in endless designs and colors.
You can wear this trend in any form you can imagine, from just a touch of crochet on the neckline or sleeves of a top to full-on crochet dress. You can be as trendy this spring or as classically bohemian as you please.
What crochet pieces will be in your rotation this spring?
The Disco (70s) Collar
Upbeat lyrics by artists like Donna Summers and the Bee Gees were popular. Add strong basslines, synthesizers, electric piano and the rise of the DJ.
You could just forget about your daily troubles and just dance.
Disco era fashion is on the return.
The most identifiable feature of the synthetic leisure suit, the disco collar, has been adopted by a number of famous designers for Spring 2020.
You can bring it to your neighborhood catwalk in all kinds of fun ways.
Are you cool enough to rock the disco collar?
Luxe Leather
If you are familiar with my post Fall Must-Haves, you’ll notice that leather has reappeared on the runways this season. Leather is everywhere!
In my opinion, leather is less of a trend and more of a classic.
A leather jacket is always in season and always stylish. It makes a great seasonless piece.
It’s other pieces, like skirts or shirts that tend to come and go.
So if you are looking to expand your leather wardrobe, look to a lightweight leather or vegan mini, or a loose, airy top.
Will you rock a classic leather jacket, or try something new?
Bra tops
If you are a fan of 90s fashion, you will be ecstatic about bra tops!
These sexy belly-baring styles are back in full force.
If it’s too daring for your everyday wear, just slip a blazer on top for a smart casual look. Add some jeans or slacks, and you’re good to go.
Are you loving this top as much as I am?
Vests
I know what you’re probably thinking–no way!
But hear me out.
The vests this spring are not the frumpy 80s versions.
Get that picture of the computer nerd out of your mind, because the vest this season is form-fitting, sleek and sexy.
What do you think about the vest trend this season?
Hot pants
This season, the trends dictate that there is no in-between for shorts–they’re either very, very short or, as you’ll see shortly, long.
What was once seen in a not so favorable light has taken its power back and exploded onto the runway in fun hues and fabrics.
Get your gams ready, it’s the season of the hot pant!
They’re perfect for those scorching days, or whenever you just feel like being the center of attention!
Do you think you’ll give sexy hot pants a try?
Bermuda shorts
If you prefer a much more modest way of keeping your legs cool this season, the Bermuda short is for you!
Bermuda shorts are a great piece to have for warm weather because they are so versatile.
Whatever type of fabric you choose for your Bermuda shorts can work with a number of outfit variations.
They can easily be dressed up with a sweet blouse and pumps or down with a t-shirt and sneakers.
But beware, petite ladies, they can make your legs look shorter! Opt for shoes that lengthen the look of your legs.
Will you dress up your Bermuda shorts, or choose a casual look?
Tiers
The drama continues with tiered skirts and dresses.
Bring then into the daytime with fun sneakers and a t-shirt.
For a night out add a blouse and sexy pumps.
Is a light tiered dress what you need for your next vacay?
Tube tops
You’ll be beach-ready in this style that has hit the runways hard.
Just like with the bra top, if you’re shy about baring all that skin, just throw a blazer on top for a more modest look.
Or slip a mesh or see-through top over your bra top for a little extra coverage.
Are you daring enough to wear the tube top trend?
Daytime sequins
This is a personal favorite.
I have been known to wear the occasional sequin top in the daytime.
Maybe I was ahead of my time, who knows?
Get ready to sparkle like the sun when you bring this traditionally nighttime staple into the light!
If it’s too much for you, dip your toe in with a clutch for just a touch of glam.
Will you be the one to sparkle?
